Food Service I- Catering Assistant

IDEXX is seeking an experienced Catering Food Service Specialist to join our Dining Services Team. The ideal candidate has exceptional customer service, superior attention to detail and the ability to handle with ease last minute changes to deliveries, offerings and schedules.
This is a full-time, day shift Monday-Friday 6am 2:30pm.
Note: This position will be 70% in Catering and 30% in Caf Services which is
subject to change based on business needs.
Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
Prepare carts and deliver Catering orders as specified on daily Catering Event Sheets.
Prepare all sandwiches, salads, lunch buffets, reception items, pizza, breakfast items, baked goods and any other Catering food item as directed by the Team Lead or Chef
Inventory and keep stocked all oasis kitchens in the building.
Present all Catering food on platters, bowls and trays as directed by the Team Lead or Chef
Keep all Catering items stocked and notify Team Lead when items need to be ordered
Receive and stock all inventory in Catering as well in the Cafes as needed.
Work with Catering Team to keep production space clean and tidy.
Assist Catering Team with new menu ideas and brainstorming.
Work with Administrative Assistants/Clients with any last-minute changes or requests that arise while delivering.
Communicate changes or adjustments invoices or events to the Team Lead ASAP.
Bake and decorate cakes, cupcakes and other baked goods per Catering event sheets
Cross-train in bakeshop duties and responsibilities.
Ability to cross train in all positions in caf services. Including but not limited to cashier, prep work, dishwasher, server, etc.
Exhibit strong customer service skills, maintaining positive and professional working relations with customers, team members and members of other functional areas.
Maintain a safe working environment and utilize all applicable safety equipment.
Perform and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
Assist in monthly inventory process and cost reduction efforts.
Clean and maintain caf equipment and machinery.
Wash dishes as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
Additional training and/or certification beyond high school preferred.
EXPERIENCE
1 - 2 years of related experience
Catering and/or Waitstaff experience preferred.
Required SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
Must attend ServeSafe certification class.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand and sit for extended periods; extend and reach with hands and arms; and use hands and fingers to handle, squeeze, twist and manipulate objects, controls and tools.
Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
Frequently required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push/pull pallet jacks and carts.
Average walking of 3 to 5 miles per day.
Weekend hours and weekday overtime may be required but not common.
Work Environment:
Normal kitchen environment.
While performing the duties of this job the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
Personal protective equipment and/or clothing may be required.
The noise level is moderate to loud.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
