Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist

Performs variety of accounts payable,accounts receivable, and/or other related datainput/posting/maintenance/processing into financial accounts, related systemsand other informational databases. Reviews information to input and determinescorrect procedures. Inputs data, audits for accuracy, responds to andresearches questions and resolves issues as needed.
The ideal candidate is someone who isself-directed, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and well versedin continuous improvement.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Reconcile daily cash collections to bank accounts while documenting and researching discrepancies, and validating all figures.
Post adjusting entries and miscellaneous cash receipts/credits.
Process refund check requests and returned checks.
Research and resolve misapplied payments and reconcile credit balance accounts.
Handle incoming customer contact regarding payment inquiries. Make outgoing customer contact for payment clarification during posting process.
Handle assigned monthly duties.
Assist in development and maintenance of A/R and A/P SOPs.
Support Corporate Finance Department goals of reducing Days Sales Outstanding and Days Payables Outstanding.
Reviewing and processing vendor invoice payments.
Process weekly check runs, resolve vendor inquiries, and audit employee expense reports
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Typically 3-5 years of related work experience, such as accounting/finance/customer service.
REQUIRED SKILLS ANDABILITIES:
Data entry skills, including accuracy and speed in a fast-paced, time-critical environment.
Ability to work with variety of systems and databases. SAP knowledge preferred.
Detail-oriented, patient and thorough.
Good customer service skills, with ability to exchange information with wide variety of people.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work both individually and as a team player.
PC skills, including Microsoft Office.
