Performs compliance tasks and the related activities in the controlled medication dispensing process.
Key
Responsibilities:
Fill all narcotic prescriptions for facilities as directed
Adhere to all pertinent local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations
Fill all narcotic prescriptions for all facilities as directed
Maintain perpetual inventory and check for accuracy
Process returns for Narcotics Room prescriptions, return to inventory or discard as instructed
Handle inventory, responsible for all reports, discrepancies, and missing product
Re-package medications
Maintain Narcotics Room cleanliness and compliance
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary by location
Required
Qualifications:
Prior pharmacy experienceState pharmacy technician licensureKnowledge of and experience with controlled drug dispensing proceduresKnowledge of state and federal laws for controlled drug prescriptionsAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with colleagues, facility staff members, and others within the organization

Qualifications:
Skills in usage of fax machine, computer software, copier, and word processing
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
