Summary:
Prepares Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) financial reports; accounts and forecasts for the impact of for share-based compensation equity awards; develops, maintains and communicates accounting policies; researches, analyzes and documents accounting and disclosure items; and provides support for other areas of accounting and financial reporting.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Assists Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of quarterly (Form 10-Q) and annual (Form 10-K) SEC financial reports.
Assists SEC Financial Reporting Manager in the preparation of financial reports for the Board of Directors.
Assists SEC Financial Reporting Manager with research of technical accounting and disclosure issues using authoritative and interpretive guidance. Identifies and recommends appropriate application of the guidance in accordance with company policy, U.S. GAAP and the SEC.
Assists SEC Financial Reporting Manager with monitoring and communicating changes in U.S. GAAP and SEC authoritative and interpretive guidance to ensure compliance.
Responsible for forecasting and accounting of share-based compensation expense, including establishment of forfeiture rates, development of Black-Scholes assumptions applied in the valuation of stock option grants, recording of quarterly expense and preparation of certain account reconciliations.
Responsible for the Company's compliance with eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL) reporting requirements as governed by the SEC.
Assists SEC Financial Reporting Manager with management of accounting policies and performance of ongoing process reviews.
Identifies, analyzes and summarizes the various components of equity and prepare the rollforward of consolidated equity accounts.
Ensures accuracy of, and compliance with, the Company's Sarbanes-Oxley documentation of share-based compensation and SEC financial reporting processes.
Performs monthly reconciliation of outstanding equity awards.
Forecasts dilutive shares outstanding for monthly and quarterly financial planning.
Coordinates audit of IDEXX's 401k Plan and prepare the Plan's financial statements.
Monitors intangibles for impairment, review annual LOB analysis for reasonableness.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
4 year degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
CPA preferred.

Experience:
SEC reporting, XBRL and share-based compensation experience a plus.
Typically 7
years' of related experience.
Public audit experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Experience with financial reporting.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Experience with general ledger module of ERP system, SAP preferred.
