Responsible for selling IDEXX products and services to customers and prospects over the phone. Leverage the strengths of the IDEXX portfolio, promotional offerings and a targeted sales approach to drive profitable revenue and customer satisfaction.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prioritize and make calls to prospects and existing customers to:
Close new accounts
Cross-sell additional products
Probe for and address competitive activity;
Maintain contact database with accurate profiles, notes and opportunity information
Successfully complete IDEXX training on our markets, our products, and selling skills.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in a business or scientific discipline preferred OR the equivalent combination of experience and education.
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of previous sales and/or applicable business experience preferred.
Understanding of the veterinary diagnostic market and experience in healthcare or scientific industry a plus.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong communications skills including writing, listening and questioning
Sales Ability / Persuasiveness
Strong interpersonal skills, able to establish rapport quickly.
Capability to absorb and articulate technical information
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook)
Highly motivated and goal oriented
Strong organizational skills, especially in a multi-tasking environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Some overnight travel required. Extensive phone and computer use.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal office environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
