Project Description: Join the UX Team where you''ll have to opportunity to become involved in interaction design and user experience research for IDEXX''s software-based products. We work on mobile apps, we apps, desktop software and embedded touch screen devices of every stripe and size.
Working closely with an interaction designer with 15-20 years of experience
Intern will be working a project to build a cloud-based software application for our digital imaging business
Will assist with workflow analysis, prototyping and competitor analysis
The work will be important to the team's success with the project and offers the opportunity to learn more about cloud-based computing, software development and interaction.
About the IDEXX Intern Program: IDEXX Interns will have the opportunity for hands-on research and work experience in our cutting-edge research facility to supplement course of study. Interns will gain real-world experience and may be assigned to project teams.
These roles are compensated at a competitive rate; interns will work full-time hours for the summer months.
In addition to professional experiences, IDEXX interns have the opportunity to participate in a variety of additional activities, including:
Weekly small-group meetings to discuss their internships with other students and mentors
Lunch and Learn seminars on research topics with our leadership team
Workshops on relevant issues such as career planning, professional topics, etc.
Intern final presentations
Social mixers and events

## Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and must be returning IDEXX interns or have completed at least one year of college. A track record of student success and potential as demonstrated by GPA, research portfolio, prior work experiences and/or the recommendation of a professor is preferred.
MS Office skills
Critical thinking and analysis
Detailed oriented
Prior experience/involvement with web design or website development
Experience with MS Visio, Adobe Photoshop is
