## Description
Scope: This 2nd shift position (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm) will troubleshoot and maintain modern automated manufacturing systems. Experience with electro- mechanical, pneumatic, robotic, industrial vision inspection and a variety of control systems desired.
This position will train on 1st shift for up to 3 months.
JOB
Summary: Trouble shoot, and repair Factory Automation and OEM packaging equipment. Industrial Controls skills/experience with PLC's GE and Allen Bradley Distributed IO including Profi bus, Industrial motion control, servo, stepper, AC/DC motors, and electro mechanical skills including pneumatics required. Troubleshoot Mechanical systems including Robotics, pick and place, cam driven equipment including the ability to disassemble, repair and assemble. Ability to Operate milling machine, Lathe and or Weld is desired but not required.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Performs variety of technical engineering support activities to assist with designing, producing and troubleshooting Company products and processes.
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance and recommend changes as needed to existing procedures.
Monitors production status first hand and using data collection systems. Advise on when to interrupt production.
Help identify and maintain spare parts.
Disassemble, diagnose and repair complex mechanical assemblies.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates Degree in a technical or relevant discipline preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
Works independently, with minimal direction on more complex tasks.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to work in a fast paced manufacturing environment and work well with all levels within the organization to identify and solve problems.
Ability to use schematic drawings for fabrication, analysis and problem solving, if applicable.
Ability to read, interpret and carry-out technical instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Technical aptitude.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good computer skills; Microsoft Office and SAP experience preferred.
Strong math skills and ability to work with units of measure, whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent; and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Assigned work of greater complexity.
Works independently, with minimal direction on more complex tasks.
May lead work of others.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Extensive sitting, standing and computer use.
Extend and reach with hands and arms and use hands and fingers.
Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crouch.
May be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.
Some travel required.
Work with exposed moving electro-mechanical parts.
Work with exposed electrical power requiring proper protective equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Office, engineering lab and industrial environments requiring safety, electrostatic discharge (ESD), clean room and other equipment. Additional work with electrical solder and fluxes, exposure to supplier assembly processes using chemicals, with machinery noise.
