JOB
Summary: Perform analysis of data, business goals, objectives, and needs. This position analyzes data, business-oriented projects and programs to help ensure the Software Development & QA Teams in both Westbrook and Eau Claire have the knowledge to successfully build and test the Pet Health Network Pro software. Plan and design business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business activities, software and systems. Utilize data and systems to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner. Elicit, analyze, validate and document business, organizational and/or operational requirements. Assist and lead projects and teams.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the business and development team members in Eau Claire and Westbrook to evaluate business needs, define and prioritize requirements, and ensure that process flows and analytical capabilities align with leading business practices.
Travel to Eau Claire will be every 4 to 6 weeks.
Work to understand the data model and ETL process to ensure seamless communication across two development teams
Work as part of project teams to create/enhance/implement business processes and supporting solutions ensuring requirements are delivered as agreed and on time, gathering additional resources as needed. Assist and lead projects and teams.
Identify and gather business requirements in a group setting by preparing an agenda and managing the group discussions.
Research internal and external leading business practices. Promote and direct ongoing use of processes and supporting functionality so that business unit management fully exploits business information to deliver added value.
Market and communicate program vision to project teams, key business stakeholders, and executive leadership. Ensure continued business sponsorship, engagement and commitment.
Work closely with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify user information requirements and seek opportunities to support critical business strategies, improve business processes, and educate the workforce about the strategic use of technology.
Business analysis, requirements and projects may include the following activities/

Plan an approach for documenting, categorizing, and packaging requirements.
Verify that requirements are testable and generate testing objectives.
Create tools and supporting processes that allow business analysts and project teams to conduct requirement reviews.
Outline requirements and manage scope.
Provide input and updates to project plans, resource tracking, issues, and risks during projects.
Compile and executes use of tools, templates and processes for business analysts and project teams.
Plan/execute/deliver quality improvement.
Gather specifications, requirements and enhancements that will achieve the customers and business goals.
Translate requirements into solutions that may include a systems development component, process improvement or organizational change.
Perform other duties as assigned

## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or Science; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
Masters Degree, a plus
IIBA Certification or Business Analyst Professional, a plus
Experience:
4 - 6
years of related professional business experience, project management experience, and/or related product experience.__
Experience with relational databases (/Oracle, SQL) and a strong understanding of ETL is a must__
Experience in business modeling and process engineering preferred.
Business or systems experience within the functional area a plus.
Knowledge and experience in the health care industry a plus.

Strong/advanced knowledge of data, databases, and their manipulation (SQL, ERDs)
