The Director, Global Software Product Management will define and lead commercial product strategy for a newly formed global software-as-a-service business that will shape the future of veterinary practice management software globally. This new business is backed by a significant investment committed by IDEXX's Board of Directors and senior leadership team, and builds on an already industry-leading track record of developing and commercializing highly innovative software solutions in veterinary healthcare.
This position will manage aglobal product team including product managers, business analysts, businesssystems analysts, UX designers and others, as well as partner with keyfunctions, lines of business, and country organizations to implement thecommercial strategy and achieve P&L; goals. This position will work closely with an exceptionally strong, global software R&D; team. This sameR&D; team has recently delivered VetConnect PLUS, a revolutionary tool forcloud-based delivery of diagnostic results that significantly exceeds what isavailable in the human market, and Pet Health Network Pro, a cloud-based suiteof practice marketing tools including a multi-channel consumer outreachplatform.
As a core senior member ofthe IDEXX Information Management team, this position will join a vibrant and committed group of entrepreneurial leaders driving advancements in veterinary health information technology.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Establishs trategic product management direction for the global business consistent with IDEXX mission and direction, and consistent with the overall information management strategy.
Establishand drive alignment behind a clear and innovative vision for a global product development roadmap, based on insights collected from users, prospective customers and other stakeholders.
Drive the translation of customer needs to clear product requirements and ultimate product delivery and commercialization.
Identify opportunities for workflow integration between products and services that further strengthens the highly differentiated IDEXX software ecosystem.
Partner deeply with software R&D; team to ensure successful and efficient realization of the product roadmap - ultimately accountable for time / scope /budget / quality trade-offs.
Plan ahead and achieve financial (revenue, expenses), quality, and customer experience objectives.
Partner with Marketing, Sales and country organizations to ensure successful commercialization.
Lead, coach and motivate direct reports and indirect partners, consultants and vendors to achieve success as one team.
Foster a professional and entrepreneurial team culture that supports cross-IDEXX cooperation, product innovation, experimentation, best practice sharing and strong commitment to the success of the veterinary profession.
Provide leadership for cross organization and cross-functional communication, processes and system improvements (including ISO, NPD process, etc.).
Represent IDEXX worldwide to employees, customers and suppliers.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or relevant technical discipline.
MBA preferred.

Experience:
10
years of progressive leadership and commercial product management experience.
Preferred
Experience: software-as-a-service product management, global product management, healthcare technology, profit and loss responsibility infast growing company.
