Summary: This is an individual and team contributor providing technical and business knowledge to application development and enhancement projects utilizing current computing architectures. A Senior Application Developer should provide technical guidance, mentoring,and followSAP best practices inthe provision of SAP solutions and associated services to IDEXX business units.
This position is responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, quality assurance and supporting of complex SAP Application Web user interface and Portal features in an SCoE development team.
IDEXX SCoE team looking for a application developer who has excellent design and programming skills across multiple programming languages and technologies, including ABAP, Java, C++, SQL, Java Script and REST Services. We work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, implement, and maintain web sites, internet based applications, SAP suite applications and applications in other technologies.
Resolve complex issues within own area of expertise and support others in resolving complex issues.
Demonstrate a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency while being able to work independently.
Work closely together with other team members and proactively share expertise to ensure the team success.
Provide support for and coordinate improvements and break / fix issues for the existing SAP suite of applications with an emphasis on SD, FI, HR and any other modules as needed.
Leverage best practices and provide guidance to use the same in SAP solution and service delivery.
Effectively work with service providers, prioritize project deliverables, and determine implementation approaches.
Ability to establish / maintain credibility and collaborative relationship with the business and functional resources.
## Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required or equivalent technical training and work experience.
Experience: 8
years experience in system development, 5 years experience developing in current area of expertise
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES :
Strong knowledge of procedural and object oriented programming techniques.
Minimum 8 years experience in application development and with all phases of system development life cycle.
Minimum of 4 years SAP development experience in ECC 5.0 / 6.0 utilizing the new SAP NetWeaver ABAP and Java stack technologies Enterprise Portal.
Minimum 2 years of experience in designing rich user interfaces using HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, SAP UI5, CSS3, SOAP and REST services.
Experience in Object Oriented Programming in Java and/or C+
with object-relational mapping and programming frameworks (MVC & MVP)
Experience deploying software with NWDS.
Experience in Federated Portal, guided procedures,Workflow, and content server
Experience must also involve technical experience in ABAP/4, OO ABAP, Reports, Module pool, Function Modules, User Exits, BADI.
Create new iViews, Pages, Worksets, Roles, apply custom theme and portal branding
Maintaining awareness of emerging technologies like Mobile Development, who can add value to new technology initiatives.
Experience with Web Services and E-commerce technologies, BSP, Web Dynpro, Java/J2EE APIs, XML/XSLT standards and SOA
Experience in SAP ECC modules such as MM, SD, FI, PP, WM and HR are preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills and an open communication style.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong execution skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and deliver quality results within standards to meet deadlines.
Ability to deal with ambiguity, manage multiple priorities and meet stretch goals.
Ability to work independently should be detail oriented and able to work in a team environment.
Ability to effectively articulate and present complex concepts and ideas to senior IT management, functional and business teams.
