Summary:
Oversee the daily activities of one or more functional areas of a distribution center. Areas may include shipping and receiving, storing, replenishment, material handling, etc. Ensure overall operational effectiveness within distribution service standards. __
PRIMARY DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily scheduling of all distribution services for functional area(s) including receiving, replenishment, shipping, and handling of all goods.
Translate production goals set by Manager into daily work assignments for associates in each functional work area.
Manage shift operations to projected labor utilization rate standards and adjust schedules to meet changing priorities.
Partner and coordinate with other shifts and functional areas as needed.
Maintain a safe work environment and ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
Attain and exceed productivity goals, short shipments and damage targets_._
Collect, maintain and analyze data for management, including labor usage and progress toward established goals.
Assist and make recommendations to senior management to improve operations, plan long-range labor needs based on forecasts and input from management. __
Manage staff, assign work, monitor activities, evaluate performance and manage escalated/critical issues. Administer employment actions, provide coaching and guidance to staff and promote staff training and development. Support departmental budgets, policies and procedures.
Perform other duties/projects as assigned.__
Operate the 5S principles in detail to affect operational changes in the work place__

## Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Bachelors degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
Safety and SOP training
Experience:
Previous Supervisor experience

years of Distribution Center Experience
Fork lift certification and operation required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong back ground shipping and receiving documentation and regulations, forklift experience and understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
Knowledge of Automated Warehouse Equipment, Warehouse Management System, and RF
Strong computer skills including SAP and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Good people management skills. Ability to motivate employees and instill teamwork and partnership. Ability to give instructions and delegate work to others.
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to identify and resolve work problems independently and through others.
Ability to comprehend and communicate basic instructions.
Ability to be proactive in making decisions and recommendations.
Advance experience in Excel preferred.
Prior experience in customer services preferred.
Data analysis skills for workflow improvement and flexing preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: __
Frequently lift up to 60 pounds and move loaded pallets of materials with the aid of a hand-operated lift, or forklift truck.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
